Evaluation
I think this was an interesting module as it helped me to learn to work under pressure, the time was minimal and we had to work as a team to get the work done. There was alot to do from organising the event to entertainment and making the clothes. I helped set up the stage and also create and customise clothes for the catwalk which I also modulled in. On the whole I think the festival went well, however there was lack of organisation from everyone, including myself. If I could do this again I would have organised my time alot better and not spent so much time on the making and customising of the clothes but on obtaining enough evidence to put into my work. I think I would of rather been apart of organizing the event as for my diploma project I was an events manager, a skill I am really good at, however I chose to develop other skills such as working together, collabratively with the rest of the team, I was really dissappointed at the final outcome as not many people turnt up to the festival but however, I think it was a really good experience and I feel privalidged to have been apart of it.
Lesson Logs
These are summary lesson logs for what I did during the eight weeks preparation time before the final festival.
Week one -two:
Researched different festivals. I looked at the different artistic policies of different festivals this helped me to realise that for our festival our artistic policy has to be clear and match our target audience. (Research shown in blog)
Weeks three-four:
Researched the BFI London film festival, looked into target audience specifically. Showed a wide range of different , possible target audiences. I also looked at different types of entertainment that could appeal to this specific target audience.
Weeks five-six:
I presented my presentation to the class (evidence of this can be found in my blog). This helped me to understand what appeals to different age groups and types of people(tastes).
Weeks seven-eight:
In these two weeks I created and customised my clothes and practiced my cat-walking.
Contacting an outside organization
This is a print screen and the link to the website were I obtained the contact information to contact the wandsworth arts festival about the organizing of their festival:

This is a print screen of me contacting them and asking them questions about the running and organising of their festival:

This is a print screen of me contacting them and asking them questions about the running and organising of their festival:
It was part of my research to contact an organization and ask question on their organising as this would help to give ideas for my festival and perhaps give me a better understanding of how a festival is run and what aspects need to be considered.

Designing my ideas
I am working with the design team, to come up with design ideas for the clothes we will be using in our festival, I researched the internet for some current recycled pieces of fashion for inspiration and ideas.
Here are some of the examples I found and why I like them :
Here are some of the examples I found and why I like them :
I like this idea because the design is original but the materials used are different, this is a recycled piece were the dress is made from juice cartons, crisp packets and other snack packets, it is well designed and well thought out.
This is a really nice example of how recycled fashion can be seen as chique and classy. The design is very well organised and looks stunning.
These are some more images I found inspirational:
